Historical order sync
Summary
Installing the ReBound integration in your Shopify store instantly enables returns for your customers, even for past orders. This is made possible through our historical order sync.
How it works
- After you install our Shopify app and make a choice between test and live mode, it automatically begins the historical order sync.
- It retrieves all orders from the last 60 days in your Shopify store and pushes them to Rebound. Depending on the number of orders, it can take from 10-15 minutes up to a few hours.
- The orders then become available for customers to return.
If you offer a longer return window (e.g., 90 days), it is possible to sync more than 60 days of orders upon request. Please get in touch with your ReBound Implementation Manager for that.
How to set it up
You don't need to do anything. The integration runs the sync automatically once you have installed it and fully set it up in your store.
Troubleshooting
Syncing a large number of orders can take some time. Here are a few steps to check if it’s working:
-
Check Oldest Orders: Look up the oldest synced orders (e.g., 59 days ago) in the returns portal or through our APIs. If you need help, contact your ReBound implementation manager.
-
Check your app's mode: Ensure you are looking up the orders on the correct ReBound environment (pre-production for test mode or production for live mode). Learn more about test mode. You can see your app's mode on its homepage. Look up the "ReBound Returns" app using the search bar at the top.
-
Ensure your app is fully set up. The historical order sync is triggered once you selected the app's mode (test or live). If you haven't done that yet, you can do so by finding the "ReBound Returns" app on your sidebar or using the search bar. Select the desired mode and press on "Complet app setup".
-
Contact Support: If the issue persists, please reach out to your Implementation Manager, Client Manager or to our CS Team for further assistance.
