Premium customers
Summary
When syncing orders to ReBound, our Shopify integration can set them to "premium", enabling various benefits for them, such as free returns.
Customer tags in Shopify are used to determine which orders are premium. For example, a customer that has the "vip-silver" tag will have their orders synced as "premium".
You can enable this feature and configure the corresponding customer tags on the "Integration Settings" page in the ReBound Returns app.
When to use this
- If your customers normally pay for returns, but you want to enable free returns for a subset of them (e.g., customers with a premium subscription).
How it works
- Once you enable the feature and configure customer tags, our app remembers this setting.
- Whenever it syncs an order, it retrieves all tags of the Shopify customer that is linked to it.
- If any of the tags match the list of premium tags you configure, that order will be set to "premum".
- This enables premium features for those customers when they return the order in the ReBound portal, such as free returns (when they are otherwise paid for non-premium customers).
Setting it up
-
Ensure the "ReBound Returns" app is installed and active in your Shopify store.
-
Open the app from the "Apps" section on the left sidebar (if pinned), or find it using the search bar at the top of the page.
-
Open the "Integration Settings" page and scroll down to the "Advanced order sync settings".
-
Enable the "Premium customers" feature by clicking the toggle on its right.
-
Add all the premium customer tags and press enter to insert each.
-
Make sure the customer tags are identical to those in your customer's profiles in Shopify. They must have the exact same spelling, including any special characters (e.g., "vip-silver" is not the same as "vip_silver" or "VIP-SILVER").
-
If you want to remove any customer tags, click the "x" button to its right.
-
If you want to disable the feature altogether, click on the toggle to the right of "Premium customers". Disabling the feature will no longer sync new orders as premium orders to ReBound. Already synced orders will not be affected.
